Current Work

In October 1st, 2018, I started to develop multifunctional coatings based on the Ti-(C, O)N-Cu system and its characterization for the KERAMOS Project. The characterizations of produced coatings will be in mechanical properties, color, antifouling effect and controlled wettability and it will be deposited by reactive DC magnetron sputtering technique. The substrates will be placed at different angles with respect to the target to obtain different tiltings of the columnar growth in each deposition batch. The films will be analyzed at different stages of production to correlate the influence of the films’ architecture and/or composition on the functional properties
